Activity Highlights:

We have stopped taking bookings now for winter but will open up again ahead of the Easter holidays.

Explore the exciting world of mountain biking with our engaging and educational children’s programs. Operated by highly qualified British Cycling coaches, our camps and guided adventures take place during every school holiday, using fantastic locations like Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Kingley Vale in Hampshire and West Sussex.

We understand every child is unique – they learn differently and progress at their own pace. This is why we offer three main groups for our mountain bike camps, each one designed to be fun, challenging, and tailored to the cyclist’s skill level. By keeping our groups small, we ensure that each young rider receives personalized attention to help them reach their full potential.

Our Activity Options

Option 1: Learn to Ride a Bike – £65.00

The moment a child learns to ride a bike independently is momentous and exhilarating. Let our expert coaches guide your child through this rite of passage, transitioning from stabilisers to independent riding.

Please Note: The price does not include bike hire.

Option 2: Beginner Mountain Bike Camps – £26.00

Beginner’s Camps are ideal for children aged between 5 and 8 years old or older riders new to off-road biking. During these sessions, we teach fundamental mountain biking skills like body positioning, pedalling, and gear selection, ensuring a safe and enjoyable off-road riding experience.

Through activities and coaching, children will learn cornering, braking, and gear selection on varied terrain. At the end of the camp, children are awarded a coloured Paracord Bracelet indicating their skill level.

Sessions are 90 minutes long, and take place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Option 3: Intermediate Mountain Bike Camps – £30.00

Our Intermediate Camps are perfect for riders aged 7 to 11 who are accustomed to off-road single-track trails graded green and blue. Here, we focus on refining their biking skills and enhancing confidence on the trails. Techniques such as front wheel lifts, manuals, and track stands may be part of the learning experience.

Our coaching will help them enhance their biking skills on varied terrain. Children will also work towards a grading criterion based on the International Trail Ability Grading Framework (ITAG).

Option 4: Advanced Mountain Bike Camps – £31.00

Advanced Camps are designed for riders over 11 years old who confidently navigate blue and red trails. These camps include learning the fundamentals of jumping, practicing racing strategies, and mastering drops.

For young mountain bikers ready to tackle red single-track trails, our advanced camps help build skills like cornering, front wheel lifts, and more. Our expert coaches provide a safe environment for children to access more challenging trails and push their abilities.

Option 5: Kids Adventure Rides – £45.00

Mountain biking is more than a sport; it’s a way to explore and appreciate the outdoors. Our adventure rides for over-8’s include basic map reading, snack stops, mountain biking-related games, and opportunities to have a real outdoor adventure.

Our 3-hour adventure rides are perfect for competent riders who can effectively use their gears and navigate blue trail centres confidently. A full morning of trail exploration for the adventurous child awaits. Exploring new trails in the South Downs National Park, these 3-hour rides include rest stops, snack breaks, and even an ice cream stop!
