As you cycle, you’ll pass cultivated fields, homesteads and small trading centres. The route offers open views towards the surrounding hills and volcanic landscapes that define this region of south-western Uganda. However, you should be comfortable riding a standard bicycle independently for up to two hours. Basic control of gears and hand brakes is important for safety on mixed surfaces.
