Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana
Arrive in Slovenia’s capital and meet your guide and fellow riders. After checking in, take time to explore the city’s lively streets, riverside cafés, and beautiful landmarks before gathering for a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Ljubljana to Kranjska Gora
Travel to Kranjska Gora, a scenic Alpine town near the Austrian and Italian borders. Spend the day getting accustomed to the surroundings, with time to explore local trails or relax before the riding begins.
Day 3: Kranjska Gora to Lake Bled
Start your ride through the Julian Alps, following mountain trails that lead to the famous Lake Bled. With its crystal-clear waters and an island church in the centre, this is one of Slovenia’s most recognisable locations. Spend the afternoon visiting Bled Castle or taking a short ride around the lake.
Day 4: Lake Bled to Lake Bohinj
Continue through the amazing countryside towards Lake Bohinj, the largest natural lake in Slovenia. The ride includes forest paths and open meadows, with plenty of chances to enjoy the views. You’ll have time to explore the nearby Triglav National Park or take a short boat trip on the lake.
Day 5: Lake Bohinj to Bovec
Tackle the Vršič Pass, the highest mountain road in Slovenia, offering rewarding views across the Julian Alps. Descend into the Soča Valley, famous for its turquoise river and outdoor activities. Arrive in Bovec, a popular adventure town, with the option to try whitewater rafting or canyoning.
Day 6: Bovec to Kobarid
Follow the Soča River along scenic trails to Kobarid, a town rich in history. Visit the Kobarid Museum to learn about World War I battles in the region or take a short hike to the Kozjak Waterfall. The evening is spent enjoying local food and relaxing in this peaceful setting.
Day 7: Kobarid to Piran
Make your way to the Adriatic coast, where the medieval town of Piran awaits. Narrow streets, Venetian-style buildings, and seaside cafés provide the perfect setting to unwind after a week of cycling. There’s time to explore the town, visit local markets, or simply relax by the sea.
Day 8: Departure from Piran
After breakfast, transfers are available for onward travel. If you’d like to extend your trip, there are options to explore more of Slovenia’s coastline or neighbouring countries.
