Sharing a day on the water with friends or family offers a relaxed way to experience the Pembrokeshire coastline while exploring beaches, estuaries, and sheltered coastal sections together. These private paddleboard adventures are tailored around your group, allowing routes and pacing to suit the experience you are looking for.
Planning starts before the session, with guides discussing the type of experience your group would enjoy, along with preferred locations, pacing, and route options. Depending on weather and tides, journeys may explore sheltered estuaries, calm coastal sections, beaches, or rocky inlets across Pembrokeshire.
After meeting your guide and getting fitted with equipment, the day begins with a safety briefing and refresher on paddle techniques before heading onto the water. Routes are designed to remain manageable while still allowing plenty of opportunities to explore the coastline and enjoy time paddling together.
Breaks are taken throughout the day for food, drinks, and rest stops along beaches or sheltered landing areas. The flexible private format allows the guide to adapt the session to the group’s pace, confidence, and preferred style of adventure.
Tours operate across a variety of locations throughout Pembrokeshire, including sheltered coastal stretches and estuaries selected according to conditions and group experience. Calm launch points and flexible route planning help create enjoyable full-day journeys suitable for mixed ability groups.
Exact meeting points are confirmed before the session once weather, swell, and tides have been assessed. Locations are chosen to maximise safety while still providing scenic paddling and coastal exploration opportunities.
Participants should already feel comfortable standing and paddling on a board before joining the tour. Complete beginners are not suitable for this session, although improver paddlers are welcome.
A reasonable level of fitness is needed for spending several hours on the water. Participants should also feel confident in the water and able to get back onto their board after falling in.
Guided by Paddle UK-qualified SUP Coastal Leaders, every session combines local coastal knowledge with practical experience of leading groups in changing sea conditions. Small private group sizes allow the day to remain flexible and personalised around your family or group.
Carefully selected routes, high-quality equipment, and adaptable planning help create a supportive environment for longer paddleboard journeys. The focus remains on safe coastal exploration while allowing groups to enjoy time together on the water.
