Launch on an exciting adventure with our Northern England canoe week led by our expert guide, Adam. Over five exhilarating days, explore the best rivers in Northern England while receiving top-notch coaching to enhance your skills and boost your confidence.
During your adventure, expect to navigate through the diverse and exciting rivers of the Lake District and Northern Dales. With a plethora of mature rivers boasting high-quality rapids perfectly suited for open canoeing, each day promises a unique experience tailored to the desires and skill levels of the group. Depending on water levels, we'll traverse a combination of renowned rivers including the Lune, Eden, Leven, Kent, Tees, Swale, Esk, Ribble, and Greta, ensuring a dynamic and varied journey through picturesque landscapes.
Throughout the week, there's no fixed syllabus, allowing for a flexible and personalised learning experience. Whether you're consolidating core skills, refining equipment and outfitting choices, or honing whitewater techniques for Grade II/III rivers, our expert guidance will support your growth and confidence on the water.

To make the best use of water and weather conditions, the exact venue will be decided day to day, this is normally a dropped pin shared in a group chat.
This is a five-day course. We’ll meet at 09:30 and aim to be off the river before 4pm.
This course doesn’t include equipment but we may be able to help with certain items, feel free to ask and we’ll see what we can do.

This is aimed at paddlers with grade two experience looking to paddle new rivers and maybe try their hand at a little grade three.
We recommend Penrith as a central point giving us good access to the A66 / M6 Corridors. We normally put everyone in touch beforehand to give you the option to share lifts and book somewhere communal. We’ve got a few recommendations too.
