### Where are you located?

We are located at Hove Lagoon. You will be sent the full address and postcode upon booking, but here is a guide to finding us: By Car: We do not have our own car park. There is parking within 150m of Hove Lagoon on Wharf Road opposite Hove Lagoon or there is metered parking on the southside of the A259 Kingsway. There is free parking in the residential area to the north of the A259 Kingsway. There are some resident parking restrictions at certain times of the day on these roads. Please check restrictions when parking. By Bike: We have a cycle parking area, don't forget your lock! By Bus: Brighton and Hove Bus Company : Route 1, 1A, 6. This service travels along Church Road which is about 3 mins walk to the north of the seafront. Get off at the Wish Road or Brittany Court stops. This service runs from Brighton Station. If you arrive at Hove Station you need to walk directly south to Church Road where you can meet this service. Coastliner 700 service. Stage Coach. By Train: We recommend travelling to Portslade station (1 mile from us ) or Hove station (2 miles from us) Brighton station is 3 miles from us. By Coach : National Express run many routes to Brighton. Brighton coach station in near the pier which is about 3 miles from us.

### What should I bring with me?

What to bring: Swimwear: To wear under the wetsuit and buoyancy aid which are provided. Towel: We have hot showers so you will need a towel to dry yourself off at the end of your session. Bag: To put your wet things in. Other stuff: Suitable clothing for the weather on the day. Sunscreen, layers in case the wind gets up, anorak or waterproof jacket. What not to bring: Valuables. We have free lockers in the changing rooms but better safe than sorry.

### Who is this suitable for?

This clinic is designed for intermediate riders who have already completed the WingSurf Improvers Course. You should have good control of both the wing and the board before joining this session. It’s not suitable for complete beginners.

### What skills does the clinic focus on?

The clinic focuses on preparing you for your first flights on the foil. You’ll learn: How to safely set up and carry the foil and wing Assessing conditions for safe and effective wing foiling Achieving the correct point of sail to assist flight Techniques for building confidence and managing the equipment Preparation for take-away hire and independent practice at other venues If conditions allow, you’ll also have the chance to practise on the sea.

### Do I need to bring any of my own equipment?

No, we provide all necessary equipment, including the wing, foil, board, wetsuit, helmet, and impact vest. You just need to bring your swimwear to wear under the wetsuit and a towel for after the session.

### Will the session be physically demanding?

Foiling can be physically demanding, especially as you work on balance and control. Participants should be in reasonably good physical condition. If you have any concerns about your fitness level, feel free to contact us for advice before booking.

### How many people will be in the session?

To ensure personalised attention, the group size is limited to 4 participants per session. This allows our instructors to focus on helping each rider refine their skills and gain confidence.

### What if the weather is bad?

The clinic is designed to run in most weather conditions, but if the wind is too strong or too light for safe foiling, we may reschedule. If the session is cancelled due to weather, we will offer an alternative date at no extra cost.

### Is the water clean?

The water in Hove Lagoon is regularly tested by Brighton and Hove City Council to ensure it meets all health and safety standards. While natural algae may appear occasionally, it is harmless and managed effectively to keep the water clean. The lagoon is topped up with fresh seawater regularly.

### Is foiling dangerous?

Foiling can be risky without proper training, but with the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to stay safe. You’ll be provided with helmets and impact vests, and all equipment will be carefully explained to you. However, as with any extreme sport, expect a few bumps and bruises as part of the learning process.
