### Highlights
Experience two back-to-back runs of the River Garry, known for its consistent water levels and fun, fast-moving rapids. With Grade 3/4 white water and dam-controlled flow, it’s a great choice for adventurous first-timers or groups looking to share a lively day on the river. Key Details Location: River Garry, Scottish Highlands Group size: Up to 12 people Duration: 3 hours Experience required: None What to Expect On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your guide who’ll provide a full safety briefing and help you get into your wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid. You’ll be introduced to the basics of paddling and teamwork before heading out onto the river. This section of the Garry is dam-released, which means consistent high water and exciting rapids every time — no waiting on the weather to make it work. The rapids come in quick succession, giving you very little flat water and plenty to smile about. Each trip includes two full runs of the same section. The first is all about getting familiar with the raft, listening to your guide, and building trust with your team. On the second run, you’ll know what’s coming — and that’s when the fun really starts. Expect splashy wave trains, strong paddle strokes, and the chance to properly engage with the river environment. Once off the water, you’ll dry off and enjoy a hot drink with the rest of your group before heading off.

## FAQs

### Where are you based?

We’re a mobile outfit, which means we travel to different rivers across Scotland depending on your chosen activity. Most of our sessions take place in Perthshire or the Scottish Highlands. Exact locations are listed on our activities page and full meeting instructions will be included in your booking confirmation.

### What grade of river do you use?

The rivers we use typically fall within Grade 3 to 4 on the international river grading scale (which runs from 1 to 6). This means you can expect fast-flowing water with large waves and features that are exciting and technical, but still manageable for those with a sense of adventure.

### What is the minimum age?

Due to the nature of the rivers we use and the safety requirements of the activities, participants must be at least 16 years old. If you’re enquiring for someone younger, feel free to contact us via the adventuro chat below and we can talk through alternative options or recommendations.

### What equipment is provided?

We supply all specialist gear needed for your session. This includes a wetsuit, helmet, neoprene gloves or socks when required, a splash jacket, and proper footwear (sizes UK 4–12). Depending on the activity, we’ll also provide a buoyancy aid, paddle, webbed gloves, or a canyoning harness. We can even provide a glasses strap if needed.

### What should I bring?

You’ll need swimwear to wear under your wetsuit (avoid cotton), any personal medication, and a bit of cash or card if you fancy buying a snack or souvenir afterwards. If there’s a signal, we can accept contactless payments. Most importantly, bring your enthusiasm and a good sense of fun.

### What are the changing facilities?

Since we operate out in the wild rather than from a fixed centre, our changing setup is simple but effective. We provide high-quality changing robes to help you stay comfortable and maintain your privacy when getting in and out of your gear.

### Are there toilet facilities?

Although we don’t have permanent buildings, we make sure to bring along a toilet setup for those who need it. We know how important this is for comfort, so it’s something we always take into account when setting up at a location.

### Where do I park for the River Garry rafting session?

Parking is available near the River Garry, just off the A82 close to Invergarry. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive detailed instructions with the exact meeting location and parking information to make arrival straightforward. The parking area is suitable for cars and small minibuses, making it accessible for individuals and groups alike. From the parking spot, it's just a short walk to the river access point where your guide will meet you. You’ll have space to get changed into your wetsuit and organise your kit before the session starts. There are no permanent facilities on-site, but everything you need for the activity will be provided by your guide once you arrive.
