We begin in the historical port district of Leith , cycling gently up Leith Walk, one of the longest streets in the city. Next we pass the green park London Road Gardens leading to our first stop at the regal Holyrood Palace and the striking architecture of the Scottish Parliament. From here, the e-bikes make light work of the incline up to Arthur’s Seat . There’s plenty of time to take in the panoramic views before a peaceful descent. We then will cross Waverly Bridge which connects the Old and New Towns, spanning over Waverly Station and offers a stunning view of the Old Town . From here gently cycling through the original Neo-classical and Georgian architecture of the New Town , a UNESCO hertage site since 1995. Next, we will drift down to one of the most beautiful hidden gems of the city, Dean Village before cycling down The tranquil Water of Leith. Our cycle will end in the picturesque old harbour of Leith, The Shore before we finally drift back to our starting point. Prerequisites This session is open to anyone aged 16 and who is confident cycling in a group setting and capable of cycling on shared roads and designated cycle paths. Helmets and all necessary equipment are provided. You do not need previous experience with e-bikes, as the tour starts with a short briefing to help you get used to the controls.
