This fully catered, all-inclusive cruise offers a perfect blend of Scotland’s finest whiskies, spectacular wildlife, and amazing landscapes. No prior sailing experience is needed, as our experienced crew will guide you through this remarkable journey, ensuring that each moment is as enjoyable as it is memorable. Key Details Duration: 7 days, 6 nights Location: Inner Hebrides, starting from Oban Ages: 18+ Group Size: Up to 6 participants Experience Required: None Itinerary Your adventure begins in the charming harbour town of Oban, renowned for its distillery nestled in the heart of town. We set sail from the new marina development, heading south to the Isle of Seil. Known for its famous 'Bridge over the Atlantic' and rich slate mining history, Seil offers a unique start to our journey. As we navigate the Sound of Luing, we’ll journey south to the rugged Isle of Jura. With its towering Paps of Jura and a landscape teeming with red deer, this island is a haven for nature lovers. A visit to the Isle of Islay follows, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore world-renowned distilleries such as Lagavulin, Ardbeg, and Laphroaig. Islay’s unspoilt beaches and rich birdlife add to its charm, offering a serene contrast to its famed whisky production. Depending on weather and tides, we may also visit the community-owned Isle of Gigha, where you can explore lush gardens and sandy beaches. Returning to Jura, we’ll anchor in the secluded West Loch Tarbert, a favourite spot of the skipper, where you may hear the calls of seals or catch sight of otters. Our voyage continues north to the Isle of Colonsay, with a possible stop at the white sands of Oronsay. After exploring Colonsay’s windswept dunes and invigorating coastal air, we’ll head back towards Oban, passing the Garvellachs and anchoring under the historic Gylen Castle on the Isle of Kerrera. The final night is spent here, allowing you to soak in the peaceful surroundings before our return to Oban in the morning. Location This cruise takes you through some of the most beautiful islands of the Inner Hebrides, starting and ending in the bustling harbour town of Oban. The journey includes visits to Islay, Jura, Gigha, and Colonsay, with potential stops at smaller, lesser-known islands. The region is famed for its rugged landscapes, rich wildlife, and, of course, its excepti…

## FAQs

### Do I need any sailing experience to join this cruise?

No sailing experience is required. Our skilled and experienced crew will handle all aspects of sailing, ensuring you can relax and enjoy the journey. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or a complete beginner, you’ll be in safe hands. If you’re interested, the crew can also teach you the basics of sailing during the trip.

### What should I pack for the cruise?

Pack clothing suitable for layering, as the weather in Scotland can be variable. Waterproof and windproof outer layers are essential, along with warm clothing such as jumpers and hats. Don’t forget sturdy shoes for on-deck and comfortable footwear for onshore excursions. You’ll also want to bring personal items like toiletries, sunscreen, sunglasses, and any medications you might need. A camera or binoculars is also recommended to capture the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

### Can couples book together?

Yes, we do our best to ensure that couples can share a cabin whenever possible.

### How many people will be on board?

The boat accommodates up to 6 guests, along with 1 skipper and 1 crew member.

### Will I need to cook?

Our holidays are fully catered, so you’re not required to cook unless you’d like to try your hand at it. Cooking onboard can be a unique experience, especially at sea, and some guests enjoy participating. The skipper and crew prepare all meals, but you’re welcome to join in if you wish. Otherwise, just relax and take in the views with a glass of wine. Please note, we do operate a rota for washing up, so everyone is expected to pitch in as part of the team experience.

### Do I need insurance?

We strongly recommend taking out holiday insurance that covers all eventualities, including sailing.

### Do I need specialist sailing equipment or clothing?

We’ll provide you with a kit list once you’ve booked. Essential items include layers, hats, and waterproof footwear with good grip. Beach landings may require wellies or waterproof shoes. High-quality sailing waterproofs are not necessary; a standard waterproof jacket and trousers will suffice. Please pack your items in soft, foldable bags, as storage space is limited and cannot accommodate hard cases. All safety equipment, including lifejackets and safety lines, is provided.

### Do you accommodate dietary requirements?

We cater for both meat-eating and vegetarian diets. For other dietary needs, such as vegan or gluten-free options, please check with us before booking. If you have food allergies, be sure to include these on your medical form. We’ll do our best to accommodate food preferences, but please understand that space on board is limited. While we can prepare nut-free or gluten-free meals, the boat itself is not a nut-free or gluten-free zone.

### Will I get seasick?

Seasickness can occur, especially on the first day or in rough conditions. If you start to feel unwell, inform a crew member so we can assist you, particularly if you are taking medication. Steering the boat often helps, as it allows your eyes and inner ear to sync, similar to how driving a car prevents motion sickness. For most people, the sensation passes within a few hours, aided by a hot drink, a ginger biscuit, and some rest.
