## FAQs

### What exactly is rock scrambling?

Rock scrambling is an exhilarating outdoor activity that falls between hill-walking and rock climbing. It involves navigating steep and rocky terrain without the need for extensive specialised equipment, offering participants the freedom to move more naturally and explore challenging landscapes. Rock scrambling provides a thrilling blend of adventure and stunning natural scenery, making it accessible to individuals of various skill levels, from beginners seeking a fun day out to experienced adventurers looking for a new challenge. It's a dynamic way to immerse oneself in the great outdoors while enjoying the physical and mental rewards of conquering rocky obstacles and savoring breathtaking views.

### Am I fit enough for rock scrambling?

These half or full days require a reasonable level of general fitness. It's not all about upper body strength, most climbing actually comes from the legs, so doesn't need to be tiring, honest! Arriving at the crags does require some uphill walking too - think of it as a warm-up!

### Where do we meet?

This is flexible and will be to suit you. We often meet clients in Ambleside, or if staying nearby we may arrange to meet at your accommodation.

### Should we bring food and drink?

Yes. Please bring at least one litre of water per person and a packed lunch & snacks. During the cooler months, you may wish to bring a flask of something hot: tea / coffee / hot chocolate / hot juice all work well.

### What should I wear and bring with me?

We recommend the following kit list: Waterproof jacket & over trousers Hat & gloves Warm clothing Walking boots / sturdy footwear Packed lunch & snacks Water – at least 1 litre Backpack suitable for carrying the above kit Personal medication (if applicable) Camera
