You'll meet us at Watergate Bay, about a minute from our HQ in Newquay Bay Resort and around 10 minutes from Newquay town centre. That's where we kit you out and walk you down to the sand. If conditions mean we need to move the lesson, we'll give you plenty of notice so you can get there without a rush and still have time to change. ### What time should participants arrive? Please arrive 30 minutes before your lesson so we have time to check you in and get you into a wetsuit. That buffer also gives us a chance to talk through what you want to work on before you walk to the beach. On weekends, school holidays and sunny days, give yourself extra time for traffic and parking around the bay. The closest car parks fill quickly when the weather is good. ### Is parking available at Watergate Bay? We sit on The Green, opposite Wax Beach Bar and next to the council car park. Just Park Wallet can sometimes save you a little on the council spaces if you book ahead. There's more parking opposite Watergate Bay Hotel and on the southern cliff overlooking the bay if the closest car park is full. Allow a short walk down to the beach from those overflow spots. ### What should participants wear and bring? Arrive in swimwear with slip-on shoes so changing into a wetsuit is quick. We can look after your car keys while you surf, which is usually the simplest way to keep the vehicle locked. There is not a locker room for bags or valuables at the beach base. Wet kit and a towel are easier to manage if you keep the rest of your day bag in the car. ### Do lessons go ahead in the rain? We surf in the rain.
