Learning to scuba dive opens up a world of adventure, creating lasting memories and enhancing mental and physical well-being. Completing Parts A and B of the PADI Open Water course will certify you as a diver for life, allowing you to explore underwater environments worldwide. We look forward to welcoming you and beginning your underwater adventures. Key Details Price: From £350 (please see packages for individual pricing) Minimum Age: 10 years Locations: Soho, London Surrey & Berkshire North London, Herts and Bucks S.E. London & Kent Brighton & Hove Oxfordshire Key Skills Mastering basic scuba diving techniques Safe and effective use of diving equipment Understanding and applying dive theory Developing underwater navigation skills Course Breakdown The PADI Open Water Diver course (Part A) is divided into two main parts: theory and practical training, consisting of confined water dives and open water dives. Theory: Upon signing up, you will receive an email from PADI to complete the theory portion online. This can be done on a PC, Mac, or tablet and typically takes 10-12 hours. PADI’s eLearning system is user-friendly and allows you to learn at your own pace, take breaks when needed, and study in the comfort of your home. The theory must be completed before attending pool sessions, except for Soho, where it needs to be done by the second session. Confined Water Training: Conducted in one of our six heated pools, you will learn essential scuba diving skills, including how to use the scuba equipment, perform safety procedures, and manoeuvre underwater. To complete your PADI Open Water certification, Part B involves the practical application of the skills learned in Part A through four open water dives. These dives are typically conducted over two days at Mercers Country Park, where you will practice and demonstrate your scuba skills in a natural environment. You can book Part B after completing Part A. If you prefer to complete these dives elsewhere, you can present your Referral form at any PADI centre worldwide, and they will facilitate your remaining training. Locations Soho, Central London: Pool sessions take place over three consecutive Tuesday evenings, providing a central and accessible location for those based in or around London. Surrey & Berkshire: Conveniently located near Heathrow, these sessions occur on Saturday afternoons, ideal for those in the surrounding areas looking for weekend training. North London, Herts, and Bucks: Held on Saturday m…
