## FAQs

### How do I get there?

We are located on the A81, just outside Gartmore and Aberfoyle. If using a SatNav, enter our full address: Easterhill, Gartmore, FK8 3SA. Turn into Trossachs Holiday Park from the A81 and follow the right-hand fork down an unpaved farm track, following the small sign. After about half a mile, you’ll reach the farm on your left. Parking is signposted past the green barn on the right. Please drive carefully on the track, keeping to the 5 MPH speed limit.

### Is public transport available?

Due to our rural location, public transport is not recommended. If you plan to travel by bike, we are directly connected to Sustrans Cycle Route 7.

### Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after them and disposing of waste in the bins provided. Water bowls and spare poo bags are available on-site. If your dog cannot be left in your vehicle while you take part in an activity, you must bring a non-participating adult to supervise them. Please note that spectating while supervising a dog is not suitable for most activities.

### Do I need to have an adult in my group?

Yes, all sessions require at least one adult participant.

### How long does the junior off-road driving session last?

The overall session typically lasts between 30–40 minutes. This includes the introduction, safety briefing, demonstration by the instructor, and the time each participant spends driving the 4×4. Driving time is up to 20 minutes per young driver, with the remainder used for preparation and passenger participation. The length ensures a full, enjoyable experience without being overwhelming for new drivers.

### What kind of vehicle will my child be driving?

The session uses a genuine 4×4 off-road vehicle, modified only where needed for safety and training purposes. It is the same type of vehicle used in adult sessions, giving young drivers an authentic experience. The cars are maintained to the highest standard, regularly checked, and fitted with dual controls so that instructors can step in if required. This provides peace of mind for both the driver and their adult passenger.

### Is it safe for young drivers to operate a 4×4?

Yes, safety is at the centre of every session. The course is designed specifically for young drivers, with clear instruction and constant supervision from an experienced instructor. The terrain is chosen to be manageable but engaging, allowing participants to practise off-road techniques without unnecessary risk. Dual controls mean the instructor has immediate control if needed.
