## FAQs

### What do I need to bring with me when I collect the bike?

You’ll need to bring a valid photo ID when collecting your bike. This will be held securely during your hire period and returned when the bike is brought back. We also recommend wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for cycling and bringing a bottle of water, especially if you’re planning a longer route.

### What type of bikes do you offer for hire?

The hire fleet includes lightweight Temple Cycles hybrids (both classic and step-through styles) ideal for city riding and day trips, as well as Brother Cycles adventure bikes designed for gravel trails and multi-day touring. All bikes are regularly maintained and come fitted with quality components for reliable performance.

### Can I take the bike outside Bristol?

Yes, you’re more than welcome to use the bike beyond the city limits. Whether you’re cycling to Bath via the traffic-free Bristol to Bath Cycle Path or heading off for a multi-day tour, our bikes are equipped to handle a wide range of routes. Just make sure you’re confident with route planning and puncture repairs if heading out of town.

### What happens if I get a puncture or something goes wrong?

All bikes are fitted with puncture-resistant tyres to reduce the risk of flats, but in case it happens, we provide a spare inner tube and repair kit. You’ll need to carry out the repair yourself or arrange assistance if you’re far from the centre. Our staff are happy to show you the basics of how to change a tube before you head off, if needed.

### Can I keep the bike overnight?

Yes, overnight hires are permitted. However, it’s your responsibility to make sure the bike is stored securely. Most Bristol hotels and accommodation providers have bike storage facilities—check with them in advance to confirm. Bikes remain the responsibility of the hirer for the full duration of the booking.

### Do you offer children’s bikes or smaller sizes?

We don’t currently offer children’s bikes. However, we do stock five frame sizes in our gravel and touring bikes (52cm to 60cm), and our step-through hybrids are suitable for a range of heights. Accessories like child seats and trailers are available as add-ons if you're planning to cycle with younger children.

### Where do I collect the bike from?

Bikes are collected from our central Bristol location, just behind the Watershed on Canon’s Road. This spot is perfect for setting off on harbourside rides or joining longer trails like the Bristol to Bath Cycle Path. You'll be given detailed collection instructions upon booking, and we ask that you arrive on time with your ID ready.

### What if it rains on the day of my hire?

Cycling in the UK often comes with the possibility of rain, and we don’t offer weather-related cancellations or refunds. If you're concerned about the forecast, it’s best to wait until closer to your planned date to make a booking. That said, waterproof layers and a good attitude go a long way—many great rides still happen in the rain.

### Can I collect or return the bike outside standard hours?

Yes, early collection or drop-off at 9:30am is available for an additional fee. If you'd like to arrange this, please contact us through the adventuro chat and we’ll confirm availability and add the option to your booking.
