The descent is 'off piste' and follows the escarpment edge, with, weather permitting, dramatic views straight down into the valley below and across to the slate town of Llanberis. The hike will be delivered by a fully qualified mountain leader who will know a great deal about both Snowdon and Snowdonia, and of course the mountains of Wales in general. They will describe what you are seeing and tell you a few tall tales along the way... During the months of May to September, there is a cafe near the summit of this highest mountain in Wales, but do not depend on this for sustenance. It's often closed due to weather conditions, and so we always advise taking a good packed lunch along with a flask of something warm.
