### Highlights
Stand-up paddleboarding is an excellent choice for team-building, offering a fun and unique way for your group to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and learn a new skill. Whether you're looking to build camaraderie or simply enjoy a day on the water, this session can be tailored to suit your group's needs, with options for relaxation or more active involvement. Key Details Duration: 2-6 hours Minimum Age: 18 Group Size: Minimum 6, Maximum 24 people Meeting Point: Your choice What to Expect The session kicks off with a briefing on land, where you’ll learn the basics of paddleboarding. You’ll start kneeling on the board, practising balance and paddling techniques. Once everyone feels comfortable, the focus shifts to standing and refining your technique, with opportunities for those interested to learn skills such as turning and self-rescue (conditions permitting). For a truly bespoke session, you can mix activities like SUP Pilates, team-building exercises, or even a group clean-up, making it ideal for strengthening bonds within your group. Depending on the group’s level of confidence, there’s the chance to progress and develop new skills during the session. Location Sessions can be hosted at various scenic locations, either a calm lake or an energetic river. If preferred, the team can travel to a location close to you, making it easy to accommodate your needs. Each venue is selected to provide a comfortable and safe environment for all participants. Prerequisites Participants must be comfortable with the idea of falling into the water and must be able to swim 50 metres unaided. Flexibility is required to transition from kneeling to standing on the board. You should wear practical clothing suited for the weather and bring a towel, a change of clothes, and footwear that can get wet, such as old trainers or flip-flops. Sunscreen and insect repellent are also advised for a more enjoyable experience. About your guides Nick, a BSUPA-qualified Level 2 coach, discovered paddleboarding in 2014 and quickly became passionate about the sport. ## FAQs

### What should I wear for stand-up paddleboarding?

When it's warm, wear whatever you feel comfortable in, like shorts and a t-shirt or other activewear. If you have neoprene or a wetsuit, that's ideal, but we can provide one if needed—just let us know ahead of time. We recommend wearing footwear that you don’t mind getting wet, such as wet shoes, flip-flops, or old trainers. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, insect repellent if you have it, a towel, and a change of clothes for your journey home (though hopefully, you won’t need them!). We can keep your car keys safe, but please leave other valuables in your car.

### Is stand-up paddleboarding safe?

Falling in can be part of the fun, but your safety is our top priority. Everyone will be given a flotation device, and all boards are equipped with a leash. We’re trained in first aid to handle any situation. You can wear waterproof footwear or bring your own, such as flip-flops or old trainers, during the session. Please make sure any cuts on your feet or legs are covered with plasters before you get started.

### Do I need to be able to swim to try stand-up paddleboarding?

Yes, we require you to be able to swim before taking part in a paddleboarding session. You don’t need to be an expert swimmer, but you should feel comfortable falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid. You'll also need a certain level of flexibility and the ability to transition from kneeling to standing on the board.

### What if I’ve never paddleboarded before?

No prior experience is necessary. This session is suitable for beginners, and our instructors will guide you through each step of the process, from learning how to balance on the board to perfecting your paddling technique. The goal is for you to feel comfortable and have fun on the water, regardless of your experience level.

### Can I customise my session?

Yes, absolutely! We offer a flexible approach, allowing you to customise the session to suit your group’s preferences. Whether you want to focus purely on team-building, include SUP Pilates, or even take part in a group clean-up, we can tailor the session to meet your needs. Just let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll make it happen.
