After a short safety briefing, you’ll head down to the water’s edge, ready to start exploring. The route takes you along the coastline, moving across rocks, wading through tidal pools, and swimming in the sea. Along the way, you’ll visit sea caves, discover hidden inlets, and, for those who are keen, take on a range of jumps into the water. Everything is guided at your pace, with different challenge levels to suit all abilities. Whether you want to push yourself or take it steady, there’s plenty to enjoy. Sessions are designed to be fun, active, and a great way to experience the coastline from a different perspective. ## FAQs

### What do I need to bring when heading out on a guided adventure?

All wetsuits and safety equipment are provided for guided adventures, but you will need to bring a few essentials to ensure you're comfortable and prepared: Towel and swimwear Old trainers that can get wet (neoprene beach shoes are NOT suitable for coasteering as they don’t provide enough grip or protection) Any essential medication such as asthma inhalers or EpiPens – your guide can carry these if needed For coasteering, an old pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit (this helps protect the wetsuit from wear and tear) Sun cream to protect against UV exposure, even on cloudy days

### Do I need any experience before booking onto an adventure session?

No previous experience is required to join an adventure session. Activities are tailored to suit the individuals on the session, and we believe in "challenge by choice" – meaning you decide how much you want to push yourself. Whether you’re comfortable attempting a 7-metre jump or just want to enjoy being in the water, we’ll make sure the session suits your confidence and ability. Our fully qualified guides will be there to support you, offering guidance and encouragement so that everyone gets the most out of their experience.

### Are the guides qualified?

Yes, all of our guides are trained to National Coasteering Charter standards and beyond. They each have at least 3 years’ experience delivering coasteering sessions in Pembrokeshire and hold up-to-date qualifications in both first aid and surf lifesaving.

### Do I need to be a strong swimmer to take part?

You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but you should be comfortable in the water. The wetsuits provide extra buoyancy, and the buoyancy aid will help keep you afloat. Guides are always on hand to offer support, and the session is run at a pace that suits the group. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us before booking.

### Will I have to do all the jumps?

No, the jumps are optional. There are a variety of different heights to choose from, so you can decide what you feel comfortable with on the day. The session is designed to be fun and accessible, and the guides will never pressure anyone to do something they don’t want to. If you prefer, you can swim around the jumps instead.

### What happens if the weather is bad?

Coasteering is a weather-dependent activity, and safety is always the top priority. If the conditions are unsuitable, we may have to reschedule or move the session to a more sheltered location. In cases where it’s not possible to run the activity safely, we will contact you in advance to discuss options, including rescheduling or issuing a voucher for a future date.

### Is transport to the activity venue provided?

Transport to the activity venue is not always included. Clients may need to use their own vehicle to travel from the activity base to the start location, which is usually around a 10–15 minute drive.

### Are photos included in the activity?

Yes, photos are included at no extra cost. We'll capture key moments during the activity and share them with you afterwards, free of charge.
