### Highlights
Looking for an easy way to get around Barcelona? These lightweight, Dutch-made city bikes are ideal for cruising between the sights, cycling to the beach, or just exploring the local neighbourhoods at your own pace. With two central pick-up points and flexible rental durations, you can ride for just a couple of hours or enjoy a bike for several days. With handbrakes, chain guards and anti-puncture tyres, the bikes are well-suited to both short rides and all-day adventures. Safety lights and two secure locks come as standard, and for added peace of mind, theft and damage insurance is included with every booking. Before you head off, the staff will adjust your saddle and handlebars to fit, and run through how to use the locking system properly. If you’re planning a longer day out, there’s the option to add accessories like baskets or child seats, and the shop can also provide helmets or phone holders if needed. These extras are available for a small additional charge and can be tailored to suit your plans. Inside the shop, you’ll find free Wi-Fi, cold drinks, and friendly service throughout long opening hours—ideal if you need an early start or want to return your bike later in the day. Location Pick-up is available from two locations in the heart of Barcelona’s Ciutat Vella district. The Carrer de Montserrat branch sits near the Maritime Museum and is just a short walk from Drassanes metro station and the lower end of La Rambla. It’s well placed for rides heading towards Montjuïc, the seafront, or the leafy avenues of Poble-sec. The C/ dels Tallers location is close to Plaça de Catalunya and Universitat, making it perfect for exploring El Raval, the Gothic Quarter, and the Eixample district. Both sites are easily accessible by foot, metro or bus, and offer a great base for discovering Barcelona’s diverse neighbourhoods by bike. Prerequisites There are no formal requirements to rent, but you should be comfortable cycling in a city setting. Barcelona has a growing network of cycle lanes, but it's important to follow traffic signals, avoid cycling on pavemen…

## FAQs

### What is included in the bike rental?

When you hire a bike, everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable ride is taken care of. Each rental includes a high-quality, Dutch-made bicycle that is carefully maintained and thoroughly checked for safety and performance before each use. You’ll also receive two locks—a frame lock and a cable lock—so you can secure your bike properly when not in use. For electric bikes, a third lock is provided for extra security. As part of the service, you’re welcome to use the free Wi-Fi available in the shop, and staff are always on hand to answer any questions or offer local cycling tips.

### What bike sizes are available?

We have a range of bike sizes to suit most people, whether you're tall, short, or somewhere in between. Our city bikes are available in two adult frame sizes, designed to accommodate a wide range of heights. To ensure the best possible fit, all bikes come with adjustable saddles and handlebars, which can be fine-tuned to your height before you set off. If you’re unsure which size you need, our team will be happy to help you choose and make the adjustments for you on the spot. For younger riders, we also stock two different sizes of children’s bikes. These can be viewed/booked via the link at the bottom of this page.

### How do I lock the bike securely?

Although Barcelona is considered one of the safer European capitals, bike theft can be a problem, which is why we provide strong, reliable locks with every rental. Each bike comes with a built-in ring lock as well as a separate cable lock. If you're renting an e-bike, a third lock is provided for added peace of mind. The recommended method is to use the ring lock to secure the back wheel and frame, and then use the cable lock to attach the bike to a fixed object like a bike rack, gate, or sturdy post. If you’re cycling as part of a group, it’s also a good idea to chain the bikes together using the cable lock. Always double-check that the locks are fastened correctly and never secure your bike to something that can easily be moved or broken.

### What should I wear when cycling?

Comfort and practicality are key when deciding what to wear while cycling around Barcelona. Choose clothing suited to the day’s weather, but make sure it allows freedom of movement. Lightweight, breathable materials are ideal in warm weather, while layering is useful if it’s cool—especially in the mornings or evenings. You might start off feeling chilly, but after a few kilometres, your body temperature will rise, and you may want to remove a layer. Avoid tight or restrictive clothing, especially trousers, as these can become uncomfortable on longer rides. Footwear should also be suitable for pedalling—trainers or flat-soled shoes are best.

### Are there any areas in Barcelona where it’s not safe to cycle?

Barcelona is generally a very safe place to cycle, with well-developed infrastructure and a strong cycling culture. There are no specific areas that should be avoided altogether. However, as with any city, it’s wise to use your judgement. If a street feels too quiet or isolated at night and makes you uncomfortable, it’s best to take a more active or well-lit route. Sticking to marked cycle lanes and busier streets after dark is always a safer option.

### Where am I allowed to park the bike?

While cycling in Barcelona is easy, parking your bike correctly is important to avoid fines or your bike being removed. You should always aim to use designated bicycle racks, which are widely available across the city. These racks provide a secure place to leave your bike and help keep footpaths and roads clear. Never park your bike in the road, on pedestrian crossings, or in the middle of the pavement where it could obstruct others. In high-traffic areas such as train stations or busy plazas, be especially careful to use the marked bicycle parking zones. If in doubt, ask the rental staff for recommended locations.

### Can I keep the bike overnight if I rent it for more than one day?

Yes, multi-day rentals allow you to keep the bike overnight. You’re responsible for storing it safely and using all provided locks to secure it properly. Bikes must be locked to a fixed object in a designated bike parking area. Leaving the bike unsecured, inside a building without locking, or parked illegally could void your theft insurance. If your accommodation doesn’t offer secure storage, let the team know—they can advise on the best way to lock your bike or adjust your rental as needed.
