### Highlights
Laggan Canyon offers a mix of natural slides, scrambles, jumps and optional abseils in a beautiful Highland setting. This guided experience is adapted to suit your group’s comfort level, whether it’s your first time canyoning or you’ve done it before. Located just outside the Cairngorms National Park, it’s a hands-on way to experience Scotland’s wild water features. Key Details Location: Laggan Canyon, near Cairngorms National Park Group size: 1–16 people Duration: 3 hours Experience required: None What to Expect The session begins with a welcome from your guide, who will explain what to expect and go through the safety kit. After getting into your wetsuits and equipment, there’s a short walk to the canyon entry point. From there, the descent follows the Allt na h-Uamha burn, where your guide will lead you through a series of water features including slides, scrambles, plunge pools, and optional jumps. Each feature is introduced with guidance and support, and you’ll always have the choice to walk around anything you’re not comfortable with. Throughout the descent, your guide will tailor the activity to the group’s confidence and ability, adapting the route to make sure everyone is having a good time and staying safe. There’s plenty of opportunity to challenge yourself if you want to, but there’s no pressure to complete every feature. Once at the bottom, the group will exit the canyon and return to the meeting point where you’ll change out of your wetsuits and finish the session with a warm drink provided by your guide.

## FAQs

### Where are you based?

We’re a mobile outfit, which means we travel to different rivers across Scotland depending on your chosen activity. Most of our sessions take place in Perthshire or the Scottish Highlands. Exact locations are listed on our activities page and full meeting instructions will be included in your booking confirmation.

### What grade of river do you use?

The rivers we use typically fall within Grade 3 to 4 on the international river grading scale (which runs from 1 to 6). This means you can expect fast-flowing water with large waves and features that are exciting and technical, but still manageable for those with a sense of adventure.

### What is the minimum age?

Due to the nature of the rivers we use and the safety requirements of the activities, participants must be at least 16 years old. If you’re enquiring for someone younger, feel free to contact us via the adventuro chat below and we can talk through alternative options or recommendations.

### What equipment is provided?

We supply all specialist gear needed for your session. This includes a wetsuit, helmet, neoprene gloves or socks when required, a splash jacket, and proper footwear (sizes UK 4–12). Depending on the activity, we’ll also provide a buoyancy aid, paddle, webbed gloves, or a canyoning harness. We can even provide a glasses strap if needed.

### What should I bring?

You’ll need swimwear to wear under your wetsuit (avoid cotton), any personal medication, and a bit of cash or card if you fancy buying a snack or souvenir afterwards. If there’s a signal, we can accept contactless payments. Most importantly, bring your enthusiasm and a good sense of fun.

### What are the changing facilities?

Since we operate out in the wild rather than from a fixed centre, our changing setup is simple but effective. We provide high-quality changing robes to help you stay comfortable and maintain your privacy when getting in and out of your gear.

### Are there toilet facilities?

Although we don’t have permanent buildings, we make sure to bring along a toilet setup for those who need it. We know how important this is for comfort, so it’s something we always take into account when setting up at a location.

### Where do we meet and is parking available?

You’ll meet your guide directly at Laggan Canyon, just off the A86 between Spean Bridge and Kingussie. The exact meeting point and parking information will be provided once your booking is confirmed. There’s space to change into your gear at the site, and the session runs entirely from this location — no further travel is required.
