## FAQs

### Do I need any prior canoeing experience for this session?

No experience is required. The session is designed for beginners, and your instructor will provide all the necessary instruction to ensure you’re comfortable in the canoe. You'll be taught the basics of paddling, turning, and getting familiar with how the canoe moves on the water.

### What should I bring?

Clothes appropriate to the weather conditions (warm/waterproof clothes or sunhat – Maybe both, this is Wales after all) A spare change of clothes—just in case! Sturdy footwear (that won’t fall off your feet) Suncream Water

### Who runs the session?

All of our instructors are highly experienced and have been trained and assessed to national governing body standards. They will always have your enjoyment and safety as their top priority.

### What age group is the session suitable for?

This is suitable for anyone aged 8 or over. All children must be accompanied by an adult. We can organise sessions for groups of children but it helps to know in advance so we can make special provisions.

### Will I capsize and get wet?

It is not the aim of the session to capsize, particularly on the canal where the water is so calm but it may happen – you will be given instructions on what to do if this does happen and your instructor will rescue your boat and help you back in.

### Can I use my phone to take photos?

We sell waterproof phone cases which are suitable to keep your phone safe and dry. Your instructor may take some photos if they have the opportunity.

### Are discounts available for larger group sizes?

We may be able to add a discount on this session for larger groups. Please contact the adventuro team via the online chat, they'll be happy to look into this for you!

### What if I don’t know how to swim?

No need to worry! The session is designed for everyone, even those who don’t swim. Buoyancy aids are provided for your safety, and the water is only about 3 feet deep. In the unlikely event that you fall in, your instructor will assist you, and the shallow water makes it easy to get back into your canoe.

### Is there parking near the meeting point?

There is parking along the canal. However, this does fill quickly. There is also free parking at the Froncysyllte Community Centre and road side parking. We recommend arriving 15 mins early to ensure you can get parked up and meet us in good time.

### Can I bring my dog?

Providing your dog is well-behaved and likes water, they are welcome to come along. We are not insured to take dogs on our session, so you will be responsible for their safety.
