This session is run entirely on our site. We own the riverbanks for a 300-metre stretch and can re-paddle rapids if we like. Occasionally due to high river levels we may run this session elsewhere, you will be informed of everything by your instructor. ### How long is the session? The session is 90 minutes long which accounts for time getting changed, kitted up and safety briefings. It normally equates to about an hour on the river. ### What should I bring? Swimwear – this is to wear underneath your wetsuit. Good fitting shoes that can get wet with a solid sole – we find that old trainers are best. No sandals, flip-flops or crocs. Towel to dry yourself afterwards Personal medication – your instructor can ensure this is suitably waterproofed if you need to have it with you at all times. ### What do you provide? Kayaks – Whitewater Sit On Top Kayaks. We have two sizes depending on your size Paddles – We have lightweight paddles specifically designed for this purpose Bouyancy Aid – Our whitewater specific bouyancy aids keep you afloat if you fall in Helmets – Our helmets come in two sizes and adjust to fit your head perfectly Wetsuits – We have wetsuits of all sizes and in colder weather we have some windproof jackets too ### Is this suitable for me? You do not need any previous experience for this session. ### What ages is this suitable for? This is suitable for anyone aged 8 or over. All children must be accompanied by an adult. We can organise sessions for groups of children but it helps to know in advance so we can make special provisions. ### Will I capsize and get wet? It is not the aim of the session to capsize but it may happen – you will be given instructions on what to do if this does happen and our instructors will get sorted and kayaking again right away. ### Can I use my phone to take photos? We sell waterproof phone cases which are suitable to keep your phone safe and dry.
