Verdon Gorges
Operated by Verdon Voyages, a partner of adventuro.

Rather than focusing on a single discipline, this adventure week blends several outdoor sports that showcase the Verdon from different angles. Walking routes lead across cliff-top paths and valley floors, canyoning sessions take place in narrow limestone canyons with optional jumps and abseils, calm stretches of lake are explored by inflatable canoe, and an e-bike ride follows the famous ridge roads above the gorge. Each activity brings a distinct rhythm to the week, keeping the experience active without feeling repetitive.
Built around variety and balance, this six-day stay introduces four complementary sports across the Verdon region. Some days are guided, allowing safe access to technical terrain, while others are self-guided to encourage independence and flexibility. Evenings are spent back at the gîte, creating a steady routine between activity days and time to recover.
Years of working across the Verdon have shaped how these weeks are put together. Routes, activity sites, and daily pacing are selected to suit mixed groups, avoiding unnecessary transfers and long waits. Emphasis is placed on practical organisation, experienced supervision where required, and giving enough breathing space for each activity to be properly enjoyed.

Accommodation is provided in a gîte offering either shared dormitory rooms or private bedrooms, depending on preference. The setting is informal and well suited to active stays, with shared spaces used for relaxing after full days outdoors.
Half-board is included, with breakfasts and evening meals served on site. This arrangement keeps logistics simple and allows days to start and finish without unnecessary travel.
The adventure is open to anyone aged 10 and above, with younger participants requiring an accompanying adult.
Guides ensure the week is safe and enjoyable, offering support for those new to hiking, canyoning, canoeing, or e-biking.
Moderate fitness is recommended for hikes and canyoning routes. Trails can include uneven terrain, inclines, and rocky riverbeds.
E-biking requires minimal effort but familiarity with cycling is useful. Canoeing is accessible to beginners and allows flexible pacing.
Sessions usually last between two and four hours, including breaks for hydration, snacks, and photography.
Some days feature multiple shorter activities, combining both guided and independent exploration.
Guests stay in a gîte offering private or shared rooms, with shared lounges for relaxation and socialising.
The lodge is designed to be comfortable and welcoming, with communal areas that allow reflection and discussion about daily experiences.
Half-board is included, featuring breakfast and dinner prepared with regional ingredients.
Guests can purchase lunch locally or bring snacks for outings. Guides provide advice on regional specialities to try.
No prior experience is necessary for any of the activities. Guides provide instruction and safety briefings for hiking, canyoning, canoeing, and e-biking.
Equipment is provided, and all activities are adapted to ability levels to ensure a positive experience.
Layered clothing, sturdy footwear, sun protection, reusable water bottle, and gloves for biking or water activities are recommended.
Rain gear and additional layers are advised as mountain weather can change quickly. Detailed packing lists are sent before departure.
