You can bring your keys or phone to the beach as we have lockable waters edge storage (provided at your own risk, limited space for keys/phone and water bottle only). ### Do you have on-site parking? Yes! We're one of the only surf schools in the Newquay area with private parking for our customers and definitely the most spacious. Our safe carpark overlooks the beautiful Watergate Bay. If you say you’re with the surf school, you'll get a discounted rate. ### How do I get there? From Newquay Centre: Drive through Porth, then up the hill before the dip into Watergate. Look for open gates on your left, leading to "Watergate Top Field Car Park". From Watergate: Drive up towards Newquay. After the lay-by on your right, spot our shipping containers. Turn right into the car park entrance. Not driving? Take the 56 bus from Newquay to Watergate. It's a scenic 10-minute ride. ### What do I need to bring? For your surf lesson, you just need to bring a towel, flip flops and your swimwear. If you can get changed into your swimwear before, it'll take the pressure off using the changing rooms. ### What if it's raining or bad weather? Surfing is one of the few family activities in Newquay that's rarely affected by the weather. We use premium, warm wetsuits that work year round and have brand new heated changing rooms. As well as the Hang Out cafe for hot drinks afterwards. The only time your lesson may be cancelled is if the winds are too high, the swell is too strong or there's heavy fog. If the beach has red flagged these, we'll contact you to rearrange or refund your surf lesson with as much notice as possible. Luckily this only happens once or twice a season. ### When should I arrive for my lesson? You should aim to get here 20 mins before your lesson. If you're running late just let us know. Be aware that Cornwall can get very busy in the summer so it's best to leave early. When you get here, you can grab some food and drinks, and take in the view before your lesson starts. ### Can younger children take part in surfing lessons? Yes, we offer private surf lessons for children aged 5 and above. These one-on-one sessions provide a more tailored approach, allowing our instructors to give younger children the focused attention they need.
