Day 1:

  • Morning Meet-Up: Gather in Kenmore at 9:30am for a warm welcome and team introductions.
  • Kit Prep: Our guides will assist you in organising your personal gear into provided large dry bags, ensuring everything stays dry and secure. We’ll divide shared items like food and cooking stoves into communal plastic barrels.
  • Transport to Start Point: After parking our cars in Kenmore, we’ll take a taxi ride to Killin, where our canoes await us by the water’s edge.
  • On the Water: Once the canoes are loaded, we’ll begin our paddling excursion across Loch Tay. The journey promises scenic views and a tranquil on-water experience.
  • Camp Set-Up: Reaching our midway destination, we’ll set up camp on the picturesque north side of the Loch. Our guides will demonstrate tent set-up and prepare a delightful dinner. Enjoy a serene evening by the water – perfect for a refreshing swim and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.

Day Two:

  • Breakfast & Breaking Camp: Wake up to the serene loch-side surroundings and enjoy a prepared breakfast with hot beverages, courtesy of our guides. We’ll pack up our campsite, load the canoes, and get ready for the second day of our paddling adventure.
  • Final Stretch: The day’s goal is to paddle the remaining stretch of Loch Tay, back to Kenmore.
  • Departure: Our trip will conclude upon arrival back at Kenmore.


The expedition covers approximately 23km of Loch Tay. You’ll paddle through calm waters, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and camp along the scenic shores.


We will wild camp overnight by Loch Tay’s edge, where you’ll learn to set up tents and enjoy an evening in the great outdoors. We provide most of what you need, but we ask that you bring your own sleeping bag and roll mat.

This adventure is suitable for individuals with a range of canoeing experiences, from beginners to more seasoned paddlers. No prior experience in canoeing is necessary, as our experienced guides will provide all the necessary training and safety briefings. However, participants should be comfortable with spending several hours on the water and have a basic level of physical fitness.

We will be wild camping on the north side of Loch Tay in a wild camping setup. You’ll be shown how to set up tents (we will leave you to it if you know what you’re doing!) and prepare for a night in the outdoors. Our guides will cook dinner, and you’ll have a chance to relax and soak in the serene environment. We provide the tents but ask that you bring your own sleeping bag and sleeping mat.

Essential items include:
